Rattles

I designed the glass rattles after living in Arizona, studying Native American ceremonies. Each of these pieces represent the three kingdoms: animals, plants and minerals. One of my favorite rattle designs is the grass-eating moose. The moose head acts as a container for 50 glass beads, representing the mineral kingdom, and the grass in its mouth is the connection to the plant kingdom. Each rattle can be used as percussion instruments as the rattling sounds promote spiritual well-being and is meant to cleanse the mind.
